Lake Champlain International, or LCI, is starting a free fishing equipment loan program, which allows people to borrow poles and tackle for up to five days. The idea to get more people to care about the health of Lake Champlain.
"If you're not spending time out on the water you don't really get a connection with it. The same thing, if you're walking through the woods, you don't really get a connection to the forest. When you spend time on the water, you're gonna care for it," said LCI's Ross Saxton.
The program doesn't have an official name just yet -- LCI is asking for suggestions.
