HINSDALE, N.H. (AP) - Police say a New Hampshire man killed in a collision with a fuel tanker in Keene last week was the same man injured in a fatal shooting in Chesterfield last year.

Keene police say 32-year-old Douglas Farr Jr. and 35-year-old Erin Breault, both of Hinsdale, died in the fiery crash on Route 12 near the Route 9 East ramp Friday. The driver of the tanker suffered minor injuries.

Police say the initial investigation shows a car driven by Farr crossed the center line and into the path of the tractor trailer.

Farr was hospitalized with a gunshot wound following the April 2012 shooting in Chesterfield. Killed in the shooting was 39-year-old Mark McAuley.

Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley tells the Brattleboro Reformer that investigation is still active.
