Rain canceled the All State Music Festival's annual parade Wednesday, but the rest of the shows will go on.
Hundreds of Vermont's top young musicians have gathered for the 86th annual festival.
One of the events is a parade through Winooski, but rain canceled the 1.25-mile parade through Winooski at the last minute. So the 29 bands made up of over 2,000 kids couldn't march in the state's biggest parade.
But the rest of the festivities in the three-day event will go on as planned through the weekend at MMU, including performances of the All State jazz ensemble and choral performances.
The festival brings together high school musicians from all over the state to perform in band, orchestra, chorus or jazz ensembles under the direction of top conductors from around the country.
