MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - An organization that coordinates and promotes community service across Vermont has a new executive director.
Philip Koling will lead SerVermont, which is housed within the Agency of Human Services.
Gov. Peter Shumlin said Wednesday that Koling's background in community organizing and familiarity with SerVermont, as well his optimism and drive for increasing volunteerism in Vermont make him the perfect choice to lead the organization.
He replaces Hall Colston who resigned to take a position as head of the Partnership for Change, an educational nonprofit.
