Police say a girl who appeared to be about 6 years old was spotted wandering on West Proctor Road just after 5 p.m. Thursday. She advised she was hurt and appeared injured. A person in a car stopped to help the girl, but she took off in the woods.

The girl said her name was "Angel" or "Angela." Police say she is a white female, with dark brown, straight, shoulder-length hair, and she was missing her left front tooth. She was last seen wearing a red skirt, white T-Shirt, white flip-flops and a mood ring.

Officials add that there are no active missing persons reports and the case does not fit amber alert criteria. Call police if you have any information at 802-773-9101 or submit an anonymous tip to www.vtips.info.
