Taxes are back on the table at the Vermont Statehouse.
Two days after the governor reached agreement with legislative leaders not to raise any broad-based taxes to balance the budget, lawmakers are again looking at changes in income tax brackets which would see the wealthiest Vermonters pay more.
That's one of the issues up for discussion Friday as lawmakers work toward adjournment.
Also, Friday morning the Vermont House gave final approval to a bill that would require labeling of genetically modified food products. That bill is not expected to be taken up by the Senate this year.
