Burlington police have identified the driver who reached speeds of 120-miles per hour on the Interstate and tried to flee from police Friday.
Police say 23-year-old Kelly Fuller of Athens, Georgia led authorities on the pursuit near Exit 12 on 89 North. She eventually exited the interstate before driving into oncoming traffic on East Avenue at 50 miles per hour.
Burlington Police Lt. Matthew Sullivan said Saturday, "It's an extremely dangerous situation when someone is driving the wrong way in the opposite lane, you're talking about a situation where two vehicles can get involved in a head on collision."
The driver eventually made her way to a dorm on UVM's Trinity Campus. Police were able to catch her as she tried to get away on foot.
