BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A mobile home park that has been under pressure from the Vermont town of Bennington and the state to fix problems with its water supply is now facing a foreclosure complaint.
The complaint against John Bushee Jr., owner of Sunset Farm Mobile Home Park, was filed April 30 in Bennington Superior Court by an attorney for People's United Bank.
The Bennington Banner reports the complaint says real estate taxes and a promissory note haven't been paid, putting Bushee in default.
Lawyers in the case have declined to comment.
Last year, the town and Bushee agreed he would provide clean water to the park. The town sought court action to enforce it in November.
Bushee needs to install a new filtration system, but hasn't received a state permit for it.
