SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (AP) - Vermont police say a 12-year-old boy has been airlifted to a Boston hospital after being injured at an electrical substation in Springfield.
Springfield's police chief says the boy climbed over the substation's fence on Tuesday, got onto some equipment and grabbed an electrical line.
The Rutland Herald reports that the incident caused downtown Springfield to lose power.
A spokesman for Green Mountain Power says early reports were that the boy was "conscious and moving" before he was taken to the hospital.
