CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) - A fire in the boy's locker room at a New Hampshire middle school forced the staff to evacuate the building.
No injuries were reported in the fire at Claremont Middle School. No one was using the gymnasium at the time.
Fire Chief Rick Bergeron tells the Eagle-Times firefighters found some paper and plastic material burning, and that the cause of the fire appears suspicious.
He says the fire was reported before noon Wednesday. The school was evacuated and students were sent home at 1 p.m.
The fire was contained to the bathroom in the locker room. It set off a sprinkler head that helped contain the fire.
Officials are investigating.
