ELMORE, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife is going to be holding a ceremony to rename the fishing access on Lake Elmore.
On Friday, the Lake Elmore Access area will be renamed The Lake Elmore - Vaughn M. Douglass Access Area.
Vermont Fish & Wildlife Commissioner Patrick Berry and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Regional Director Wendi Weber will formally recognize Douglass' contribution.
Douglass retired last July from the position of lands and development program chief. He died in September.
