Many Vermont roads turned to rivers Thursday night.
Flash flooding made it difficult to get around.
Route 15 in Underhill became a dead end -- between Poker Hill Road and Cilley Hill Road. Gushing water caused serious flooding. And Route 15 was shut down.
Also in Underhill, flooding between Weed Road and Naylor Road was bad. So bad police say they've never seen anything like it in this area.
Ken Morris' backyard in Underhill -- suddenly has a river running through it.
The rushing water flooded the area around his chicken coop. It's not clear how much property damage there is. No animals were lost.
Road closures may continue to cause traffic throughout Chittenden County, police are asking residents to use caution and avoid flooded areas.
But Chittenden County is not alone. There are problems elsewhere too. Heavy rain on Route 78 in Swanton sent an ambulance off the road.
No one on the ambulance was hurt. It was pulled back on to the road.
