Governor Peter Shumlin is urging Vermonters to be vigilant as the rain continues to come down. Especially, he says, with the possibility of wet snow that could bring down trees and damage property.
Shumlin issued the following statement Saturday saying: "We will almost certainly have more damage to repair by the end of the weekend, and we will fix what needs to be fixed. But first and foremost we are concerned for the safety of Vermonters. Take care of yourselves by staying out of harm's way."
Anyone who may need to seek shelter from the storm can call 2-1-1.
