A pair of impressive performances by lower seeds led to two repeat state championships Thursday in high school tennis.
In the boys Division One championship, third seeded South Burlington rolled to a 7-0 win over number one Rutland. It was the second straight year the Rebels beat the Raiders in the state final.
The Division Two girls final was a mirror image of last year. In 2012, a second seeded Montpelier squad swept number one Burr & Burton to win the program's first state championship since 1985.
This year, it was another clean sweep for the Solons. Montpelier, again seeded second, blanking top seed Burr & Burton 7-0 to claim back to back titles.
