CVU girls win back-to-back tennis titles

CVU and South Burlington are the dominant programs in Division One girls tennis. Either the Rebels or Redhawks have claimed every D-1 state title but one since 1995.

Tonight, they met for the 2013 championship indoors at Twin Oaks in South Burlington.

In number one singles, Kathleen Joseph of CVU tops South Burlington's Sam Wulfson in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

Just as dominate in number two singles. Redhawks' Andrea Joseph with an impressive effort, beating Laila Badnyenic of South Burlington 6-2, 6-0.

CVU picks up another big win in number one doubles. Claire Stoner and Leah Epstein topping South Burlington's Jasmina Jusufagic and Linley Shaw 6-0, 6-3.

The Redhawks go on to win it 6-1 and claim a second straight D-1 championship.
