Pamela Krausz from VT-CAN! join us this morning to talk about a new promotion to help pet owners get their animals spayed and neutered for a lower cost.
Kittens can go into heat and get pregnant as early as four months old and puppies around five months old. Accidental litters can end up in animal shelters with no place to call home.
To reduce these accidental births VT-CAN! Spay/Neuter Clinic with funding provided by PetSmart Charities, is introducing the "Did You Know?" Campaign, featuring a special $20 spay or neuter surgery for kittens and a few puppies under six months of age during the month of June.
While some owners may worry that their pet is too young for this procedure, spaying and neutering is safe and easy for kittens and puppies as young as eight to 10 weeks old, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Those who wish to take advantage of this offer must mention the "Did You Know?" promotion when they call to schedule their appointment.
VT-CAN! will provide over 180 kitten sterilizations and a limited number of puppy sterilizations for $20 during June.
Please visit www.vt-can.org or contact 802-223-0034 or email@example.com for more information or to schedule an appointment.
