BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The owner of a Vermont massage parlor that was searched as part of an investigation into possible human trafficking and prostitution has been cited on a charge of prostitution.
Young Shin, owner of the Cozy Spa in Bennington, was cited Monday. It wasn't immediately known if the 56-year-old Shin had a lawyer. She had told the Bennington Banner last month that no criminal activity had taken place at the spa.
Both Cozy Spa and Green Spa were searched by Bennington Police, FBI agents and Vermont State Police on May 7. Authorities said as many as 10 women may have been forced to work in Bennington at the spas.
Shin is listed as the only employee of Cozy Spa.
