People who are interested in a closer look at the Lowell Mountain wind project can now get one.
Green Mountain Power is offering public tours of the project this summer. The 90-minute tours will take visitors to near the base of the 21 turbines, so that people can learn how the electricity is made.
June is already booked, but more tours are being offered in July and August.
Tours are being held most Wednesdays in July and August at 10 a.m. Saturday tours are being offered on July 27 and Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The tours are free, but you must sign up ahead of time. To sign up, call Gert Tetreault at 802-744-6664 or email Gert@KingdomCommunityWind.com.
