A Haz-mat incident sends six border crossing agents to the hospital this morning
Police say at about 6:30 this morning, a man driving a car tried to cross the New York-Canada border on I-87.
Officers found the vehicle suspicious, and upon inspection, began experiencing unknown symptoms. Spokespeople for Clinton County Emergency Services would not describe the symptoms or the suspicious material which caused them.
Spokespeople say the officers have been released from the hospital and are feeling fine.
The incident did not cause delays for other travelers crossing the border. The investigation continues and no charges have been filed at this time.
