A three run top of the fifth inning helped Randolph beat BFA-Fairfax, 3-2 to capture its first Division 3 Baseball State Championship since 1989 Monday Night at Centennial Field. The Bullets got on the Bottom of the fourth, the second run driven home by Asa Hoover. The Ghosts load the basses in the top of the 5th inning. They get 2-run single from Ross Caswell to tie the game at 2. The next batter, Zach LaPerle drove in the go ahead run with a blooper to short right. After allowing the 2 runs in the fourth, Randolph pitcher Jacob Sprague allows just one hit in the final three innings. It's the first loss of the season for BFA-Fairfax. The start of the game was delayed by about 45 minutes as the ground crew worked to fix several puddles behind home plate.
