Dedication planned for NH soldier who died in Va.

MILFORD, N.H. (AP) - A dedication ceremony honoring a soldier from New Hampshire who died at a Virginia military base is being held Friday in Milford.

Army Spc. Jared Davison, 24, died of undetermined causes Sept. 4 at Fort Eustis in Virginia.

Davison was serving as a watercraft engineer with the 558th Transportation Company, Special Troops Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade. He was a 2006 graduate of Milford High School and attended Norwich Academy in Vermont and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in New York.

A flagpole and plaque will be dedicated in Davison's memory at the Wadleigh Memorial Library in Milford at 3 p.m. Friday. As a teenager, he worked part-time at the library.

The public is invited to attend.
