MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in a Friday evening crash in which a 33-year-old woman who was a passenger on a motorcycle was killed in Weathersfield.
Police say 39-year-old Jeremy Desmarais of Springfield was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle with Jennifer Bixby of Springfield as a passenger.
Police say the two collided with a Ford Fusion driven by 59-year-old Paul Cooper of Windham, N.H. Cooper was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Desmarais suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while Bixby was killed.
Police say the investigation into the accident continues.
