A St. Albans man is recovering after
being beaten with a baseball bat. And police say his alleged attacker has a
Just after 9 p.m. Tuesday police were
called to North Elm Street in St. Albans. They
say a 48-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being hit in the head
twice. He's being treated for serious head injuries.
Police arrested Scott Nichols, 23, of St. Albans, a
short time later. The case is still under investigation and police say more
charges are likely.
Back in 2007, police say Nichols was arrested for beating
another man with a handgun.
