Posted: Updated:

The Dirty 40 bike race has 40 miles of gravel and scenic northern Vermont terrain. The 60-mile race is raising funds for the Mary E. Wright Halo Foundation to help families with the cost of cancer treatment.

The competition starts in Derby and winds around the Northeast Kingdom. Two hundred cyclists have already registered. Organizers Anthony Moccia and Heidi Myers describe what inspired them to start the race.
