CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire tourism officials are estimating they will see about 13.6 million out-of-state visitors this summer who will spend about $1.9 billion.
The Institute for New Hampshire Studies says that represents about a 1% increase in population and 2 percent increase in spending from last year.
The state Division of Travel and Tourism Development says summer accounts for 40% of visitation and spending to New Hampshire.
The July 4th weekend is the most popular holiday, with an expected 860,000 visitors. It's estimated they will spend about $128 million over the long weekend.
