The police chase ended at the Rockingham Medical Group. Police followed James Robarge, 43, to the urgent care facility in Bellows Falls. The Rockingham man ditched his Chevy Blazer and ran inside, trying to get away from state troopers. With guns drawn, they tackled him in the hallways.
Police tried earlier to intercept Robarge after he made a doctor's appointment. The hospital worried he'd hurt himself or others and contacted authorities. He's the estranged husband of Kelly Robarge, 42. She disappeared last Thursday. Evidence gathered at her home on Happy Acres Road in Charlestown, N.H., reveals that she likely suffered significant harm or death. She has not been found.
Robarge entered court in shackles to face two charges-- attempting to elude and gross negligent operation. But Bellows Falls Police say he's a suspect in his estranged wife's disappearance. And in court, we learned he's been questioned about it.
But Robarge has not been charged in the New Hampshire missing person's case. And the attorney general's office isn't commenting, even though police on the Vermont side of the border are making a connection.
Robarge pleaded not guilty to the charges in Vermont. He's being held on $5,000 bail.
