BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

Investors have finally reached a deal to start rebuilding the historic Brooks House.

The Brattleboro building was heavily damaged by fire two years ago.

Investors needed to raise about $24 million to buy the building and cover design and renovation costs.

It's expected to include apartments and businesses, as well as part of the campus for two colleges.

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for July 17.
