WASHINGTON, D.C. -

A young Vermonter got to dine with the Obamas at the White House.

The first lady invited 54 kids who won a nationwide recipe contest to the second-ever kids' "State Dinner."

Among that elite group was Burlington's own Colin Hurliman.

The 9-year-old wowed the White House with his culinary creation, called "Champ's Maple Barbecue Turkey Burgers."
