SOUTH LONDONDERRY, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man has been accused of putting firecrackers inside a gas grill that belonged to his former landlord.
Police said the firecrackers went off in another man's face when the grill was lit, but he wasn't injured.
Police said 29-year-old Matthew Parant of South Londonderry admitted to putting the firecrackers inside the grill, which belonged to Eric Eklof of Spofford, N.H. Trooper Brian Berry said Parant "did not get along" with Eklof and he didn't remove the firecrackers before moving out.
The firecrackers went off when the current tenant went to light the grill.
A search of Parant's car revealed he was in possession of firecrackers of the same kind that were used in the grill.
Parent was charged with reckless endangerment and other offenses on Friday.
