BOLTON, Vt. -

A close call at another Vermont swimming hole Tuesday night.

Rescue crews were called to the Bolton potholes for reports of a swimmer in trouble. Technical rescue crews removed the man from a rocky area on a stretcher. Authorities tell us the swimmer was pulled from the water by friends before rescue crews arrived. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Four people have drowned in Vermont in the last two weeks, two of them in river swimming holes. Authorities have cautioned against swimming in those places while the water levels are abnormally high because of all the recent rain.
