BURLINGTON, Vt. -

All the wet weather this spring and summer is a killer for farmers.

Vermont had the wettest two consecutive months on record for May and June. The strawberry season was mostly a wash out. Corn planting took a hit. And all the wet weather made it difficult to harvest hay. It all adds up to a tough scenario.

Vermont's Agriculture Secretary Chuck Ross talks about what the state is doing and the fate of the federal farm bill.
