HOOSICK, N.Y. (AP) - A stretch of a rural eastern New York road remains closed after a tractor-trailer rolled over and crashed into two sports utility vehicles, injuring several people.
The state Department of Transportation says Route 7 remains closed Monday afternoon in the Rensselaer County town of Hoosick. That's on the Vermont border 30 miles northeast of Albany.
State police tell local media outlets that several people suffered injuries that aren't life-threatening when the truck crashed on a curve and hit the SUVs around 9:40 a.m. near Route 7's intersection with Route 22. The exact number of people injured isn't initially available.
A more than 10-mile stretch of Route 7 is closed between Route 22 and Route 278 in Brunswick.
Troopers say they expect the road to remain closed for several more hours.
