Feds want to seize Williston spa

WILLISTON, Vt. -

Federal prosecutors want to seize the property used for an alleged prostitution operation.

The Harmony Spa in Williston closed down last month after authorities went after the building's owner, Thomas Booska, for allowing illegal activity to occur. State's attorney T.J. Donovan said he hoped targeting landlords would help keep illegal massage parlors from operating in the county.

Now, the feds have begun paperwork to seize the building where the spa operated. Prosecutors say Booska was warned two years ago that prostitution was suspected at Harmony Spa and that if it continued he could lose his property.
