A pair of Vermont college students-- along with five other people-- were sentenced in federal court Tuesday for shipping a half million dollars in marijuana and other drugs between California, Vermont and New Hampshire.
Court papers show that between 2009 and 2011 a California supplier would ship two Lyndon State College students pot through the mail. The drugs were then sold to Vermont buyers, as well as college students at Keene State and Plymouth State in New Hampshire.
All seven people involved pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and money laundering charges. Their sentences range from 37 months in prison to two years of probation.
