FEMA to decide on state office complex soon

Posted: Updated:
WATERBURY, Vt. -

FEMA should decide by next month how much of the cost it will cover to rebuild the Vermont state office complex in Waterbury.

That's the latest update from Governor Peter Shumlin, who says the feds have been working with legislation passed to help with Superstorm Sandy cleanup in New York and New Jersey and applying it to Vermont's Tropical Storm Irene recovery.

Back in 2011, flooding from Tropical Storm Irene closed the state office building

Rebuilding is expected to cost more than $120 million.
