Brattleboro looking for new town manager

Posted: Updated:

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Officials in the Vermont town of Brattleboro are working on getting a new town manager.

Former Town Manager Barbara Sondag formally resigned on Tuesday and Assistant Town Manager Patrick Moreland took the reins. He said he would not be applying for the full-time position.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports the town hired the Vermont League of Cities and Towns to help lead the national search.

Sondag, town manager since 2007, has taken a job as city administrator in Olivette, Mo., which is near her family home in Illinois.
