The Vermont Foodbank is just two weeks away from its biggest fundraiser of the year. Since 2002, The Harpoon Point to Point ride has raised almost $600,000 for Vermonters in need. However this year, the ride is falling short of its goal.
Point to Point had a record 768 riders last year. This year they have recruited about 800 riders, but that is about 100 short of their goal.
So why is this well established event struggling to recruit as many riders as it wants? John Sayles from the Vermont Foodbank and fundraising expert Andy Robinson talk about raising money for nonprofits.
