CLAREMONT, N.H. -

New Hampshire police are offering a cash reward in a cemetery vandalism case.

On Monday, about 75 gravestones were destroyed at the West Pleasant Street Cemetery in Claremont. Damage is estimated in the thousands.

Police now say public outrage over the destruction prompted them to offer a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the vandal or vandals involved.
