The 2nd annual Windjammer Kickball Tournament hosted a game of fun to benefit the Vermont Family Network.
V-F-N is a state-wide non-profit that promotes better health education and well-being for all children and families, while focusing on children and young adults with special needs.
The all-day tournament had 9 teams competing and some players from local businesses. Organizers hope to raise between 5 and 7 thousand dollars and say this tournament is a fun way to bring the family together to enjoy a popular pastime.
Jeff Morton from Vermont Family Network said Saturday, "It brings back fun memories of playing when you were a kid. And people get really excited about that, and for kids certainly kids love playing sports and kickball. And for family teams we love seeing the kids out here having a fun time. That's what it's all about to support families and support kids."
WCAX was one of the teams there competing and placed second. The team from Dynacorp won overall.
