High speed chase leads to crash

FAIRFIELD, Vt. -

A high speed chase in Fairfield has led to an arrest.

Police say a vehicle passed a trooper going about 100 miles per hour early Sunday morning on Route 36. Troopers began to pursue the car. A short time later, police were notified of a rollover crash on Rugg Road. Multiple departments responded.

"We got a report of a car crashing, several minutes later. We came down Rugg Rd. in Fairfield, found the car rolled over. One occupant in the inside was processed for DUI. The occupant stated there was another guy there and at this point we are still looking for him," said Amber Farmer, Vermont State Police.

24-year-old Matthew Douglas of Ohio was arrest for DUI.
