A weekend of festivities in Killington welcomes back tricycle races.
After a 15 year hiatus, the annual Trike Races are back. Organizers say they hope the new events will draw a bigger crowd. The three full days of activities include a regatta, golf tournament, and a dock-diving exhibition. This year marks the 40-year anniversary of the original race weekend. All events are open to the public, and organizers say the goal is to get people outside enjoying the mountain.
"Just having a lot of fun with it. It's just great to have summertime activity in the mountains where family can get together and friends. We have a lot going on between the two events," explained Chris Karr, The Foundry.
All proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, and the Killington Volunteer Fire Department.
