SPRINGFIELD, Vt. -

An alleged drug dealer who evaded police for more than a month has turned himself in.

Police say Luis Rodriguez, 31, surrendered to Connecticut authorities and was brought back to Vermont to face multiple drug charges. Tuesday, he pleaded not guilty to selling heroin and oxycodone.

Rodriguez was one of 36 suspects targeted by law enforcement in June during a large-scale drug sweep of the greater Springfield area.

If convicted, the Connecticut man faces up to 15 years in prison.
