The state of Vermont is embarking on a two-year study of wildlife and traffic.
In particular, it is looking at the stretch from Waterbury to Bolton where Interstate 89, Route 2, a railroad line and local roads separate wildlife from the Winooski River. The two-year study is being conducted by Vermont Fish and Wildlife and the Vermont Transportation Agency.
Jens Hilke is a wildlife biologist with Fish and Wildlife. James Brady is an environmental specialist with VTrans. Both discuss the study.
