People in Wilmington were feeling a little blue this weekend.
The Blueberry Festival is a six-year tradition in the area's downtown an area that suffered extreme damage in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene.
They say a local farmer with a passion for growing blueberries founded the event that has turned in to a 10-day summer staple.
It's a way to bring people to the area and check out its restaurants and shops. Forty businesses have opened in the area since Irene and Dot's Restaurant, a landmark for storm damage, is set to reopen in the next few months.
