Danville is so happy a frustrating road project is over, the town is throwing a party.
The community has dealt with three summers of traffic tie-ups as Pike Industries helped rebuild Route 2 through. Now there are new sidewalks and street lamps -- and a smooth ride.
Danville's annual fair was postponed this year because of the roadwork. So as Pike gets ready to leave town it's actually helping the Chamber of Commerce put on "Fair-Well Pike" celebration this Saturday with a parade, food, music and fireworks.
