WILMOT, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Fish and Game officials say a Mount Kearsarge hiker injured her leg and required assistance after her dog pulled her as they were descending a trail.
Erin Parnell, 23, of Lebanon, had hiked to the summit on Monday. She was making her way back to the parking at Winslow State Park when she lost her footing and twisted her ankle.
She was able to hike down the Barlow Trail for about a quarter of a mile, but needed help after that.
Rescuers from the Wilmot, New London and Sutton fire departments responded and she was taken to a hospital.
