FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 30-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after his infant son suffered fatal injuries while in his care.
Police in Fort Edward tell The Post-Star of Glens Falls that the 3-month-old boy had no heartbeat when he was brought to Glens Falls hospital Sunday afternoon by his mother and Kevin King.
Officials say the boy was revived in the emergency and taken to an Albany hospital, where he died.
Police say King was also charged with manslaughter. He's being held in the Washington County Jail without bail.
Officials say the boy was injured at his parents' townhouse in the village of Fort Edward, 45 miles north of Albany. Police say his mother wasn't home at the time.
Police aren't releasing details of the baby's injuries.
