VT Pool Players look for "Big Break" in Vegas

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Two Vermont pool teams beat a field of twenty teams from around the state to earn a free trip to the 2013 American Poolplayers Association National Team Championships. The Bad Idears from St. Albans and Van Diesel from S. Burlington will be joining more than 1100 other teams from throughout North America in Las Vegas to compete for a national title and a portion of the $1 Million guaranteed cash and prizes. The teams leave on Wednesday with the competition taking place from Thursday, August 15th to Saturday the 24th.

The teams are members of the Green Mountain APA Pool League and participate in weekly league play. The next league session starts in September in Burlington, S. Burlington, St. Albans and Stowe and runs through December. The Green Mountain APA is seeking new members and locations to host teams in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Lamoille and Washington counties.
