BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Ten new U.S. citizens are being sworn in at a ceremony at the Ethan Allen Homestead in the Vermont city of Burlington.
U.S. District Court Judge Christina Reiss will preside over the ceremony and administer the oath of allegiance on Friday.
U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, who is pushing for comprehensive immigration reform, will address the new citizens and their families.
They come from the six countries of Canada, Costa Rica, India, Liberia, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
