ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - Civil War re-enactors are arriving in the Vermont city of St. Albans for a weekend event.
The St. Albans Civil War Heritage Weekend takes place Saturday and Sunday in Taylor Park.
The Burlington Free Press reports that event marks the 149th anniversary of the Civil War raid on St. Albans.
The third annual event is co-sponsored by Champlain Valley Historical Re-enactors and St. Albans Historical Museum and includes portrayals of civilian and military life, including artillery and cavalry demonstrations, displays and drills, period dress and music.
All events are free and open to the public.
